It takes 4 hours to fully charge this ultra long life battery, by using the wire provided inside the box.
Laser Scanner vs CCD Scanner
The real difference between a Laser Scanner and a CCD Scanner is how they gather the information. A laser scanner sends out a thin beam of light at the barcode. This beam of light is reflected off the barcode differently depending upon the color of the surface the beam hits. Meanwhile, a CCD scanner works like a camera. It captures the entire image and then processes the information from there.
Having said that, the Tera Wireless CCD Barcode Scanner performs amazingly at lightning speeds. It has a far more superior reading capability than ordinary barcode scanners. Unlike laser-based scanners, this CCD scanner has a wider range of readability. As a result, this scanner can read misaligned, faded, damaged, covered in plastic wrapping or jagged barcodes. Furthermore, CCD scanners can read printed barcodes or even barcodes on a computer or a mobile phone screen. It can practically read all 1D barcodes under glare or dim lighting conditions.
Recongnizable 1D Barcodes: UPC / EAN / JAN, UPC / EAN with Supplemental, UCC / EAN 128, Code 39, MSI, Code11, Code 39 Full ASCII, Code 39 TriOptic, Code 128, Code 128 Full ASCII, Codabar, Code93, Discrete 2 of 5, IATA, RSS variants, Interleaved 2of 5, ISBN/ISMN, etc.
One of the best things about the Tera Wireless CCD Barcode Scanner is its flexibility. This mode simply means you can use the scanner without ever squeezing the trigger. Right out of the box, it comes with an adjustable stand that will allow you to use the scanner hands-free. This is a perfect feature for grocery cashier usage where multiple barcodes will have to be scanned fast.
